Dalia Azim was born in Canada and raised in the United States. Her writing has appeared in The Washington Post, The New York Times, American Short Fiction, Aperture, Poets & Writers, Columbia, Texas Highways, Glimmer Train, and Other Voices, among other places. Her first novel, Country of Origin, was published in 2022 and received the Discovery Award from the Writers' League of Texas. Dalia lives in Austin, Texas with her family and is the deputy director of the Texas Book Festival.Â
